2019 Rabaud Promis 95+p
Tasted twice - last time in April 2026. Consistent notes. All the excellent things found in the 2018 vintage are present in the 2019 vintage, with even greater intensity of botrytized flavors, concentration, acidity, depth, and precision. A beautiful effort, indeed! Yes, the eye-catching bottle has also been used for 2019!!
2018 Rabaud Promis 95p
Tasted twice - last time in November 2021. Not consistent notes. 90% Semillon and 10% Sauvignon Blanc. I start with an eye-catching bottle, heavy stuff, and it looks like it's made of crystal. There's a necklace with four paper clips. One with a QR code that goes directly to the property's website; the second explains how to make Rabaud's French Martini; the third explains how to use a large screw cap; and the fourth contains the property's history. All that is written in French and English. Spectacular and intelligent, wouldn't you say?! What about the liquid inside the bottle, then? As stunning as the bottle? Yes, very close indeed. I've never before tasted such an exciting vintage from this property! Plenty of peaches and apricots, sweet pineapple and mango, remarkable finesse and elegance, rich, splendid acidity, and a long aftertaste full of honey. Much better in the bottle compared with the barrel sample. Simply amazing for the vintage!

1950 Rabaud 94p
Tasted in April 2026. This was the year when Sigalas Rabaud and Rabaud Promis were reunited as Rabaud. One year later, the Dejean family purchased the property. This wine has kept marvelously well! It offers well-preserved flavors of brown sugar and candied mandarin peel, a splendid acidity, and a well-knit palate. Still fresh. A terrific 76-year-old bottle to enjoy!
